The Watery Journey of Nereus Pike
I have started working on my new solo show, The Watery Journey of Nereus Pike and have spent a couple of weeks in Research and Development, supported by The Harrogate Theatre and The Junction, Cambridge. I am collaborating with Katy Schutte and Tom Adams, and the piece will be finished in Summer 2012. It is about an old man who begins the show floating on the surface of the water, and makes at the bottom of the ocean. It’s a true story that I made up.
The Hare and the Tortoise
At the moment I am in ‘The Hare and the Tortoise’ with Stuff and Nonsense Theatre. I am the tortoise. My husband is the hare. This is perfectly normal behaviour for a married couple.
Fergus Evans
I am working as a creative mentor with Fergus Evans, a wonderful spoken word artist based in Manchester. He is making his solo show ‘my heart is hitchhiking down peachtree street’ which is being created in development with The Contact Theatre, Manchester.
Running on Air
I am also co-writing a book, based on my last show, ‘Running on Air’. It’s about love and adventures and campervans.
